1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing asterionllc.io or by installing or using the Asterion Connect Excel add-in (the "Add-in"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or the Add-in.

2. The Add-in Is a Free Tool, Provided "As Is"

Asterion Connect is a free Microsoft Excel add-in that helps you build Dayforce-compatible XML import files from spreadsheet data. It is provided free of charge and on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for reviewing and validating any output before relying on it or importing it into any system.

3. No Affiliation with Dayforce

Asterion LLC and the Asterion Connect add-in are independent and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise associated with Dayforce, Inc. "Dayforce" is a trademark of its respective owner; we reference it solely to describe compatibility — the Add-in produces files intended for import into Dayforce. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the site and the Add-in only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to misuse, resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the Add-in for redistribution, nor to interfere with or disrupt the site, the Add-in, or their underlying infrastructure.

5. Your Data

The Add-in processes your spreadsheet content and any employee data entirely within Excel on your own device; that content is not transmitted to Asterion. The Add-in has no sign-in, no account, and no contact form, and it sends us no information about you or your workbook. Our handling of information generally is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The Add-in, the site, and their contents (excluding your own data and any third-party trademarks) are owned by Asterion LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Add-in for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Asterion LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the site or the Add-in, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the Add-in is provided at no charge, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to it will not exceed the amount you paid for it (which is zero). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the site or the Add-in after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Dayforce Report Library

The Dayforce Report Library at asterionllc.io/library collects Dayforce reports (.dat files) and SQL shared by members of the Dayforce User Group, plus items submitted directly to the library. Asterion hosts and provides the library free of charge. In addition to the rest of these Terms:

• Community content belongs to its authors. Each report and SQL item remains the work of the person who shared it. By sharing or submitting an item you confirm that you have the right to share it, and you give Asterion permission to store it, index it and show it to signed-in library users at the visibility level you choose.
• Authors control visibility. Authors can hide any of their items from guests at any time; Asterion staff can also limit their items to Asterion. To have an item removed entirely, email us (see section 10).
• Items collected from Basecamp. Items collected from Basecamp are shown with the author's name, and the author can ask us to hide or remove them.
• No confidential client data. Do not submit employee personal data, client names, pay information, credentials, or anything your employer or client considers confidential. Remove it before you share. We may remove any item that contains it, or that breaks these Terms.
• Use at your own risk. Items are shared by the community and provided "as is". Guest submissions are reviewed before they appear, but Asterion does not guarantee that any item is accurate. Review and test any report or SQL in a non-production environment before relying on it.
• Access. Members sign in with Basecamp and guests sign in with a verified email address. Keep your access to yourself. We may suspend access that is misused, for example by bulk downloading or scraping.
