About the Dayforce Report Library
One searchable home for the reports and SQL that Dayforce customers share with each other.
Why it exists
Members of the Dayforce User Group on Basecamp have shared hundreds of report exports (.dat files) and pieces of SQL over the years: full queries, CASE expressions, calculated fields and WHERE clauses. They were scattered across folders, message threads, comments and chat, and Basecamp's own search could not find them. The library gathers them in one place, so anyone can describe what they need in plain words and get the closest matches.
Where the items come from
- Every night the library reads the Dayforce User Group project on Basecamp and collects each shared .dat report and piece of SQL. It never writes anything back to Basecamp.
- Each item collected from Basecamp links back to the original post, comment or upload, and keeps its author's name.
- Members and guests can also submit items directly. Member submissions appear straight away; guest submissions appear once two group members approve them.
- Some SQL was only ever shared as a screenshot. Those items are transcribed automatically and marked "Transcribed from image — verify". Check them before you use them.
Who can use it
- Group members sign in with Basecamp and see everything the group shares.
- Guests sign up with a verified work email and see the items their authors have made visible to everyone.
- Authors decide who can see their items, and can hide any of them from guests at any time from My contributions.
About Asterion
Asterion LLC is a specialist Dayforce consulting firm built on hands-on platform experience earned from the customer side. Our leadership spent years as in-house HRIS owners at companies running Dayforce: pay-cycle weeks, year-end, audits, integration breaks, regulatory changes and the long tail of maintenance after go-live.
That is why we built the library. We know how much time teams lose rebuilding a report someone in the group already wrote. Asterion hosts and provides the library at no cost to the group. Asterion is an independent consultancy and is not affiliated with Dayforce, Inc.
